Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search
A name, place, or other term entered in a search tool is sent to the independent provider that operates that tool. Its policy governs the query once submitted. St. Johns County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages Sent to Us
If you email us or submit a contact message, we retain the message and contact details as needed to respond. We do not share a message outside our organization unless the law requires disclosure.
Information Collected Automatically
Standard web systems may collect technical and usage data when a page loads. That data can include:
- An Internet Protocol address.
- Browser name and version.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages viewed and time spent on them.
- The referring website, when one is supplied.
- Date and time stamps tied to the visit.
Cookies and Similar Tools
Cookies help measure how visitors use the site and support basic functions. Browser controls can reject or delete cookies, though blocking them may change how some features work.
How Information Is Used
Collected information supports ordinary site operations and service decisions. We use it to:
- Keep pages available and improve load performance.
- Send search requests to the selected partner service.
- Understand which pages visitors find useful.
- Detect errors, abuse, and other technical problems.
- Present advertising that may be based on interests.
Links and Outside Services
The site links to the SJSO custody resource, the Sheriff’s GovQA records portal, St. Johns County court records, Florida corrections pages, government portals, and independent search services. After a visitor follows a link, the destination’s privacy policy and data practices apply.
Advertising providers may use their own technologies to measure activity across websites and tailor ads. That collection occurs on the provider’s systems, not ours.
When Data May Be Shared
We do not sell personal information. Limited information may be provided to:
- Search partners that process a submitted query.
- Analytics providers that measure site use.
- Advertising networks that deliver or assess ads.
- Law enforcement or another government body responding to a valid legal order.
Reasonable Security Measures
We use customary safeguards intended to protect information in our control. No website, network, or internet transmission can be guaranteed fully secure, so we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Use by People Under 18
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted information, use Get in Touch to request its deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and our ability to verify the requester, a user may:
- Ask for a copy of personal information we hold.
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Ask that eligible personal information be erased.
- Opt out of certain processing where that right applies.

We may revise this privacy notice as practices or legal duties change. A revised version becomes effective when posted here with an updated effective date.
